The Hearthstone Restaurant is the second restaurant in town for local owners Alexandra Storm and Dick Carleton. Our sister restaurant, Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, opened for business in 1981. Located in a historic, 120-year-old Victorian home in the heart of Breckenridge, the Hearthstone Restaurant has been a locals' favorite since 1989 for wild game, fresh seafood and hand-cut steaks, creatively prepared by our chefs with a commitment to using the very best of Colorado's many locally grown seasonal products, including meats, cheeses and fresh produce.
Our "New World" wine list, which has received the Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence" annually since 1997, offers over 200 selections of great wines from California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile and South Africa, all carefully chosen to complement our full flavored, Colorado-inspired cuisine. Our upstairs bar, in the historic Victorian Lounge, with beautiful views across town to the Breckenridge Ski Resort, is a great place for après-ski during happy hour, or dessert and coffee after dinner, with premium wines by the glass, the finest martinis and cocktails in town, and a full selection of after dinner ports and liqueurs.

Kolton Niesen, Assistant Manager
Born in Chelsea, Michigan, Kolton knew from a young age that he wanted to be apart of the hospitality industry and someday express his passion in his own restaurant. He began by attending The New England Culinary Institute in Burlington, Vermont. He got his foot in the door with his first internship at the Grand Hotel in Steamboat, Colorado. He proceeded with his second internship back in Chelsea at the Common Grill but always knew that Colorado was the place for him. Kolton moved to Breckenridge in 2009 and began his relationship with the Storm family as a server and most recently as an assistant manager. His ability to see all perspectives in the restaurant business allows him to excel at providing consistent customer service, extensive knowledge about culinary and overall professionalism.
